odd man out
Today for lunch I packed leftover chicken wings from last night’s Plump Dumpling dinner and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in my Bergdorf Goodman Lunch Box. The day-old wings were greasy but far superior to yesterday’s barbecue fiasco. The peanut butter and jelly sandwich was assembled at approximately 8:45 a.m. using Jif creamy, multigrain bread from the Union Square Market, and thimbleberry jam from some monks in upstate Michigan. It was a first-class sandwich, only I accidentally added an extra slice of bread to one side, making for a lonely trip to the trash can for that little guy.
For dessert, I pillaged the roast turkey on Gael’s plate.
This lunch was delicious in a second grade chocolate-milk-with-lunch kind of way, and thus warrants a 2.5 star rating.

"Thimbleberry" is the most made-up fruit name EVER.
